New KUT-authored textbooks for English

Part time lecturer Michael Sharpe's reading textbook, "Technologies of Today and Tomorrow," has been published by Cengage. It will be the textbook for the second year English courses, Science Reading 1 and 2. Also, KUT Press has published a revised version of Lawrie Hunter's "How Academic Writing Works," the textbook for PhD English courses, Thinking in English 2 and Research Writing.

Along with Paul Daniels' "Science English" and Lawrie Hunter's "Thinking in English" this brings the total number of KUT-authored English textbooks to 4.

Sharpe new book for Semester 2

October 1, 2008: Michael Sharpe's second year reading textbook, "Technologies for Today and Tomorrow," has been released in a new KUT Press version for semester 2. The second year students are now avidly reading about perpetual motion machines and such.
