WhiteBoard
Description:
Allows students and teachers to share an online whiteboard. Students can work in groups in a Moodle course.
Requirements:
Moodle 1.8.2, Flash Media Server
Installation instructions:
1. Upload "whiteboard" folder to your moodle/mod directory.
2. Go to http://your_moodle_site.com/admin - all necessary tables will be created.
3. Go to Moodle module settings and enter the link to your Flash Media Server.
Options:
none.
Instructions on how to use:
1. Go to Course page and click "Turn editing on" button
2. Select "White board" from the activity menu.

File Converter (Block)
Description:
This block aloows teachers the option to convert files to different formats, e.g.(MS office, Open Office, Flash, PDF...) when uploading to Moodle.
Requirements:
Moodle 1.8, Open office server.
Installation instructions:
1. Extract archive into your hard drive.
2. Copy the folder named "filesconverter" into your moodle/blocks directory.
3. Go to http://yourmoodlesite.com/admin
4. Go to http://yourmoodlesite.com/admin/blocks.php page. Click on the "files converter" settings link and add the link to your Open office document server.
Options:

1. Add "file converter" block to the course page.
2. Go to "file converter" page, choose a file to convert and click "Convert files" button.

Presentation v2 (Module)
Description:
This module converts Microsoft PowerPoint files to Flash format when they are uploaded to Moodle. Students can upload and also add comments to presentations. Version 2 allows: students to upload a presentation, upload multiple choice questions, and add comments to presentations. In addition, teachers can attach existing Moodle quizzes to uploaded presentations.

Text to speech (Block)
Description:
This block converts text to speech.

Moodle 1.8, AT&T Natural Voices server edition
Installation instructions:
1. Extract archive into your hard drive.
2. Copy folder "text_to_speech" in to your moodle/blocks directory.
3. Go to http://yourmoodlesite.com/admin
4. Go to http://yourmoodlesite.com/admin/blocks.php page. Click "Text to Speech" Settings link and add the link to your AT&T Natural Voices server.

Lecture Questions (Module)
Description:
This module allows teachers to import Moodle quiz questions for students. Students can answer the tasks on-line or by email working individually or in groups. Once the questions are answered, all answers can be viewed on a single page allowing students to compare their answers with others.
Options:
Mailbox user login - login от mailbox which will be used for receiving students emailed answers.

Seating chart (Module)
Description:
variant 1 "network version of Flash"
Using this classroom management application, teachers can collect data such as attendance and participation in their classroom using a handhelp computer and submit the data to Moodle.
variant 2 "local version of Flash"
Teacher can download local version of flash to a hard drive. Teachers can collect data such as attendance and participation in their classroom and submit when a network connection is available.
Instructions on how to use:
1. Create a new Seating Chart in Moodle.
2. Select seating chart variant: "Use local version or Flash" or "Use network version of Flash"
3. Enter the number of rows in your seating chart.
4. Enter the number of columns in your seating chart.
5. Select students.
6. Click "Make xml file"
All data you uploaded with flash will be available by Seating Chart link on course page. Student will be able to view only her/his own data.
Installation instructions:
- Copy "seatingchart" folder to Moodle "mod" directory.
- go to admin area for example: http://yourmoodlesite.com/admin (module will be installed)

HOTFLASH module
The HOTFLASH module allows you to display Hot Potatoes quizzes in a Flash environment. It was designed to work together with the HOT POT module in Moodle. Not all of the Hot Potatoes functions are available in Flash.

1. Create a quiz using Hot Potatoes quiz software and save it. (Don't export as a html file.)
2. Change the name of the hot potatoes quiz to 'quiz.xml'.
3. Find the Flash file in the HOTFLASH folder that matches the type of quiz you created (jmatch.swf, jquiz.swf, jmix.swf, jcloze.swf, or jcross.swf)
4. Change the name of the Flash file (.swf file) to 'quiz.swf'.
5. Use the HOTPOT module in Moodle to upload three files:
quiz.xml (this is the hot potatoes quiz file with a new file extension)
quiz.swf (this is included in the HOTFLASH folder)
quiz.htm (this is included in the HOTFLASH folder)
Choose quiz.htm as the file name for the HOTPOT quiz when you add a quiz using the HOTPOT module in moodle.
** Note you can change the file nems but make sure that the .swf and .xml use the SAME file names. Also, if you change the file names, make sure you edit the .html file in 2 places to refer to the new file names.

Display Data (Module)

Description:
Teachers can upload student data in CSV (spreadsheet) format, and students can view only their own data.
How to Use:

Media Blog (Path)


Description:
New options are added to Moodle's blog, such as, voice recording, media support and a blog search.
Moodle's media blog allows students to record and save voice files directly to the Moodle blog from within the browser. Flash Media Server is required to record and save audio files. Users can also post text and/or media to their blog using a mobile phone or other mobile device.
How to Use:
1. Go to Blog page and click "Add a new entry" link
2. If you want to record your voice, click "Record" button.
3. Speak into the microphone.
4. Click the "Stop" button.
5. Check the "Save record" checkbox.
6. Click "Save Changes".

Mail Quiz Module (Module)
Description:
Students can sign up for a study interest and receive study content and multiple choice questions via a user-defined email schedule. The script also tracks correct/incorrect responses and average quiz scores.
How to Use:
1. Students signup by inputting their mobile mail address and selecting the days and times to receive study mail.
2. Teacher uploads study content and questions.
3. Student receives study content.
4. Student receives questions and then answers by replying to the mail message.
5. Students received feedback from server.
Installation:
1. Upgrade your Moodle installation to version 1.5.1 or later

Moodle & Gallery 2 Integration (Module, Path)

Description:
Adds Moodle users to Gallery 2.0 and creates course and user albums.
How to Use:
Install Moodle and Install Gallery 2.1 inside the Moodle root directory. The directory that Gallery is installed in must be named 'gallery2'. Login to Moodle and create a new course. Go to the Gallery site and you should see a course album created there. In Moodle, add some students to the class and then if you check Gallery, albums for these students will appear.

PDA data to Moodle (Module)
Description:
Using this classroom management application, teachers can collect data such as attendance and participation in their classroom using a PDA and submit the data to Moodle.
How to Use:
1. an HTML form for a teacher to enter data about their class.
2. When teacher submits the form, the script will copy all student
images from the course into the course 'files' folder as well as an XML file with student data to be read by the PDA. The images are resized as 88x88 pixel jpg files.
3. The teacher will then copy this XML file and images to their PDA and use in class.
4. When the teacher wants to save the data (XML file), they will send
the data via http. The XML data is sent from the PDA as a variable called:
'$data'.
5. The XML data stored in a variable called: '$data' is parsed by a PHP
script and saved to a new table in Moodle.
Installation:
1. Upgrade your Moodle installation to version 1.5.1 or later
(you are advised to install latest official stable 1.5.2+ branch)

Mail to Moodle profile, blog and gallery (FreeMail) (Module)

Description:
Students can add content to their moodle course by sending email messages with commands to the server.
Available features:
- Add or change images in Personal Profile
- Add images and text to a Moodle Blog
- Upload photos and comments into Gallery 2.0 (Gallery is not part of Moodle but can be partially integrated using the Moodle & Gallery 2 Integration on this page.
How to Use:
- Send email with the appropriate command entered in the subject line.
- Add text and attach an image to the email.
- Send the email to the designated POP server.
Installation:

Moodle Grades (Path)

Description:
Extra function that allows teachers to edit and upload Moodle course grades in an Excel or CSV file.
How to Use:
1. Create a new assignment in Moodle.
2. Open the Grades page.
3. Download students' grades in excel format.
4. Grade the assignment offline entering grades in a spreadsheet.
5. Save and upload using the upload button on the Moodle grades page.
Installation:
You can download the installation archive.
Copy the archive into "grade" folder
